I am tracing my grandad.
Name Michael Nyland
Born 1895
Died/ date unknown BUT buried 23 November 1945 Ince cemetary.
Occupation fitter in Aircraft factory.
Lived in Platt Bridge from ? yet buried in Ice so assume he came over from County Mayo as migrant worker.
Married to Winifred Renshaw (my grandma)

According to the 1921 census and the 1939 register , he was born in 1893 21 June ( very often wrong??) , Living at 43 Sydney Street, I would suggest you would need to find his parent name to go any farther, his fathers name will (should) be on marriage certificate, married 1916 January to March

Why ask for help with research then don't acknowledge it, when people take time to help . Don't get me wrong I love doing research for people but its annoying when the posts are ignored .I'm happy to help anyone with family research its my hobby

You don't need to guess it is one of my hobbies too Winnie. Work colleagues amongst others have been amazed and excitedly asked me "Where do you find this stuff about my family ?" I spend ages on Ancestry and encourage them to get an account to carry it on but i don't know one person yet who wants to spend anything or even willing to set up a free account. . I think i'm too soft sometimes.

I was born in Sydney St and knew the Nyland family. Kevin was a friend of mine.
